Green Skill Development Programmes of NBRI-EIACP Centre under Skill Mission of India

Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP)
Under the administrative and financial support from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), NBRI-EIACP Programme Centre (erstwhile ENVIS-NBRI) is offering two certificate courses namely “Pollution Monitoring: Soil Pollution” and “Greenbelt Development for Industries” under the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP).
Both the national stand-alone GSDP certificate courses are approved by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) and the National Skill Development Agency under the National Skills Qualifications Framework – Level 6.
These PAN-India courses are for students, researchers, stakeholders, entrepreneurs, industrial nominees etc. The successful candidates upon completion of the courses are being awarded with the GoI-approved GSDP certificates.

1. Pollution Monitor: Soil Pollution (600 hours of 20 Credits Course)

This skill development programme on Soil Pollution Monitoring is necessary for imparting skills in soil pollution monitoring, assessment, and remediation. The course covers Greenbelt’s ability to absorb air pollutants from the ambient air and help in effective pollution control.

In the certificate course of Soil Pollution Monitoring, 20 participants have completed the course successfully in two batches (2018-19 and 2020-21), in which 70% have been employed with self/gainful employment, and 20% are pursuing higher studies.
In the certificate course of Greenbelt, 28 participants have completed the course successfully in two batches (2018-19 and 2020-21), in which 43% have been employed with self/gainful employment, and 32% are pursuing higher studies.
